Citizens’ Ambulance Service can only continue to offer the highest level of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with professional, reliable and compassionate personnel and state-of-the-art medical equipment through the support of your membership.
As a nonprofit, community-based ambulance service, Citizens’ receives no direct tax support from area municipalities or the public for the daily EMS operations. This means that the memberships of individuals and families are vital to our efforts to provide professional emergency medical services.
Not only can a membership save on out-of-pocket expenses should you need to use an ambulance, but your participation is also an investment in our community. By helping to support a professional EMS workforce that is always on-call, a membership with Citizens’ Ambulance is your commitment to enhancing the quality of life for your family, friends and neighbors.
Like all ambulance services, Citizens’ Ambulance Service faces many serious financial challenges that may impact the way services are traditionally delivered, such as response times and 24-hour readiness.
Perhaps someone in your family, a friend or a neighbor has experienced the often critical support offered by Citizens’. We as a community must do everything in our power to keep these vital services available to all in need in Indiana County and the portions of Armstrong and Westmoreland counties that we serve. We must avoid the fate that many EMS providers now face—reduce services or sometimes even “close their doors.”
But there is a solution and it’s called community support. If we all “chip in” and give our fair share, we can continue to provide these lifesaving services in the manner we should never take for granted.
